From a one-line idea… to a finished book, a presentation, a web app, all from inside your WordPress dashboard.
Today we’re launching WpClaw, a free, open-source WordPress plugin that brings AI content generation, analysis tools, a personal assistant, and a Telegram chat front-end together in one platform. The idea is simple: you describe what you want in plain language, and WpClaw turns it into a finished product you can download
Two ways to power your AI
WpClaw gives you flexibility in how you connect to AI:
- Sign in with ChatGPT — connect your existing ChatGPT subscription (Plus / Pro / Team) and use it for every AI call at a flat rate, with no per-token billing. One-click OAuth sign-in; your tokens are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM and refreshed automatically.
- Or bring your own OpenRouter key — reach dozens of models from different providers through a single interface, with full cost control from your provider dashboard.
Pick whichever suits you, and switch anytime.
What you can build
WpClaw isn’t a single tool — it’s a suite of generators that share one engine:
- AI Book Creator — a wizard that turns your idea into a complete book with a cover, table of contents, and chapter images, exporting to PDF, DOCX, and EPUB. Ten book types are supported: novels and stories, children’s books, educational/how-to, non-fiction, biography/memoir, poetry collections, cookbooks, self-help, business/professional, and a custom type.
- Presentation Generator — full slide decks rendered to HTML and ready to export.
- Web App Generator — turns a text description into a self-contained HTML/JS page hosted on your site, with a side Live Editor and full version history.
- Page & Persona Page Generator — landing pages, proposals, reports, microsites, and funnels, optionally written in the voice of a configured AI persona.
- Flipbook — an infinite visual browser where every region of an AI-generated illustration becomes a clickable hotspot.
- Mindpath — guided learning paths built on proven frameworks like Ishikawa, Cynefin, 8D, the Balanced Scorecard, the 5 Whys, PDCA, and
- DMAIC.
Gmail — not OAuth read/send. It’s read-only inbox intelligence via IMAP + an app password. It reads only sender/subject/date/snippet, then produces AI summaries, a financial breakdown, action-item lists, and newsletter digests. Raw email is never stored.
Scheduling — automated book generation on a one-time or recurring schedule (daily/weekly/monthly) via WP-Cron, with a run cap and retries.
RSS — subscribe to curated feeds (incl. Reddit) or custom URLs; scheduled fetch delivers AI summaries to your Telegram chat, optionally enriched with web search.
The intelligent layer
What sets WpClaw apart is the intelligence in the orchestration layer, not the model alone:
- Model Router — instead of using one model for everything, the system picks the best model for each task: fast and cheap for intent detection and translation, premium for specialist work like medical, legal, research, and code. The result is higher quality on demanding tasks and lower cost on simple ones.
- Multi-Agent Personas — a roster of AI personas, each with its own voice, style, and settings, from Analyst, Researcher, Critic, and Strategist to Auditor, Mentor, and Devil’s Advocate, that you can summon and switch between mid-conversation.
- Self-Description layer — the bot answers “what can you do?” from a documented capability registry, not from the model’s guesswork, so it never hallucinates features it doesn’t have.
- Discover Engine & analysis tools — a scientific-discovery-oriented agent workflow, plus multi-perspective analysis tools like Expert Panel, Boardroom, Red vs Blue, and Hypothesis testing.
- Domain intelligence — ready-made knowledge providers across academic, medical, legal, cybersecurity, tech, and finance, with a Finance Lab wired to live market data.
- A library of ready-made tools — dozens of workflow templates across content production, creative writing, programming, data analysis, marketing, sales, and strategy, including the Winning Angles Generator, Raw Idea → Full Article, the Executive CSV Analyst, and Pre-Mortem Analysis.
Integrations, where you already work
- Telegram bot — the main chat front-end, exposing most of the admin commands as chat.
- Discord and Slack adapters, built in for team platforms.
- Gmail — OAuth read/send inside the Personal Assistant.
It also ships with a full Personal Assistant that manages tasks, notes, and goals and delivers a morning brief.
Built for the whole world
This isn’t a plugin that was translated as an afterthought — it was designed to work in many languages from the start:
- 35 UI languages with full right-to-left (RTL) support for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Urdu.
- Generated content can be in any language the underlying model supports.
Security & privacy
- All third-party API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they’re written to the database.
- SSRF protection via a URL validator that blocks access to private networks and cloud-metadata endpoints.
- CSRF protection through WordPress’s standard nonce mechanism, capability checks guarding admin actions, and input sanitization.
We believe in transparency, which is why the plugin ships a docs/SECURITY.md describing what’s actually protected — and what isn’t — as the code behaves, not as it might be marketed.
Getting started
- Download WpClaw and install it from Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then activate it.
- Go to WpClaw → Settings and complete the setup wizard.
- Sign in with ChatGPT to use your subscription at a flat rate, or paste your OpenRouter key in the AI Settings tab (your credentials are encrypted automatically).
- Optionally connect a Telegram or Discord bot, and add Stability AI and Tavily keys to enable images and search.
A note on this release
We’re shipping this as the first release (v0.001.1), and we’d rather be upfront with you before you put it into production:
- The Telegram bot is open by default. If you leave the Allowed Chat IDs field empty, the bot will respond to anyone on Telegram who can reach it — and consume your API credits. Populate the allowlist before enabling the bot in production.
- There’s no built-in spend cap or rate limiting. Set budget limits in your OpenRouter and Stability AI dashboards, and throttle at the network layer (nginx or Cloudflare) if needed.
We see this transparency as part of the trust we want to build with you from day one.
Requirements
- WordPress 5.8+ (tested up to 6.9).
- PHP 7.4+ (tested on 8.3).
- A ChatGPT subscription or an OpenRouter.ai key.
WpClaw is licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later.
